PID Resistant
All the PV systems degrade over time, however, some loose their output capacity in a lower pace than the others. Potential Induced performance Degradation (PID), is a leakage in current which is caused by the structure of the solar cell as well as the voltage of each PV module. Half-cut (HC) technology
In Our modernized solar modules, the half-cut tech is utilized to make 144 cells. The technology corresponds to a higher performance compared to the conventional PV modules as it minimizes shading effect and power loss since:
- Shading results to a power loss for the arrays and modules, applying half-cut pv modules however, reduces power losses corresponding to partial shading by 50%.
Further, Half-cut solar cells transmit a greater Cell To Module (CTM) power. while the traditional ones generate 94.8% CTM power, the half-cut cells produce a 98.4% CTM power after the final factoring stage.
- Moreover, half-cut cells producing half (1/2) of the current, subsequently they turn the power loss to 1/4, it means they reduce the power loss by 25%. The function enhance the current and power output by 2-4%.
